    As their terms have drawn to a close, please join me in thanking several board members for their dedicated service to the SIFM.\u00a0Vinny Burke<\/em>,\u00a0Rich Gander<\/em>,\u00a0Jim Gruber<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Ed Majkowski<\/em>\u00a0were long-time board members as well as past presidents who instituted many changes for the organization.\u00a0Their passion, energy and support of new initiatives have helped to modernize the organization. We will truly miss their guidance,\u00a0their many industry contacts to call upon for speakers, and their willingness to propose and implement innovative approaches.

    I would also like to thank our outgoing president\u00a0Erin Mulloy,<\/em>\u00a0who has served on the executive committee for the last 6 years. Her leadership ensured that SIFM will continue to be a trusted community of insurance professionals that fosters an exchange of ideas among its members.
