Dr. Owsley has over ten years of experience in advising multinational financial services companies regarding their international tax issues. John works with companies providing advisory, planning, structuring, and transactional services to US multinationals with international operations and foreign multinationals with US operations. He advises on the US international tax aspects of structuring international reorganizations, cross-border financing, mergers and acquisitions, insurance/reinsurance transactions.

Formerly, John was a lecturer of accounting at Cornell University. John has published numerous articles on accounting and international tax issues in professional journals.

Dr. Owsley earned BS and MA degrees in economics from the University of Missouri and a PhD in economics from Cornell University. He is a CPA licensed to practice in the District of Columbia. and is a recipient of the 2014 Elijah Watt Sells Award.
