Eric McGann is a financial professional with over ten years of progressive audit experience. He provides audit and attest services to various clients, both public and private. Eric specializes in the insurance industry as the lead senior manager for publicly traded global clients specializing in insurance broking services and private mutual P&C insurance companies.

Throughout previous engagements, Eric has lead global teams through SEC public filings and SOX compliance, carve-out transactions, discontinued operations, goodwill impairment, significant acquisitions, and remediation of material weakness in internal controls. Additionally, he has specialized knowledge in auditing actuarially derived insurance reserves and alternative investments.

Eric earned a BS in accounting and international business from Villanova University. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Pennsylvania, with memberships in the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

Yelena La Forgia has 20 years of substantial experience in the insurance industry in various finance, transformation and audit roles. In her current position, Yelena is responsible for leading the US entities and the insurance segment, shaping organizational vision and strategy across finance, while partnering with the business to provide strategic guidance and drive business efficiencies and profitable growth.

Prior to Aspen, Yelena spent nearly eight years at WR Berkley where she was CFO of Berkley’s Product Recall and Small Business companies. Yelena also held various finance and audit positions of increasing responsibility at Liberty International Underwriters and AIG.

Yelena earned a BBA in accounting from Baruch College. She is a CPA licensed in New York. Yelena is a member of the Board of Directors and serves as the President of the SIFM. Yelena is a member of Chief, a women’s executive leadership organization.

Michele Landon has over 17 years of experience rendering tax consulting services to a variety of clients in the financial services arena with a specific focus on US and foreign-based multinational companies. Michele co-leads global compliance and reporting activities for EY’s US insurance practice.

Michele advises financial services companies on a full range of federal and international tax issues including serving banking and insurance clients on global information reporting and withholding tax issues, preparation and review of ASC 740 and SSAP 101 calculations and disclosures, and preparation and review of Forms 1120, 1120-PC, 1120-L and 5472.

Landon has a BA in accounting from Saint John’s University. She earned an MA in taxation from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. Michele is a CPA and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Michele is a member of the Americas Tax Financial Services Innovation Council and is leading the EY Kickbox initiative for Americas Tax with a focus on generating revenue and ideas. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of CPAs, Women of the SIFM Steering Committee, and the Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York.
