Ms. Baurkot has over 25 years of experience in financial services. She currently is responsible for providing clients with financial and capital management advisory services, including peer benchmarking, rating agency and reinsurance analysis.  Working with Gallagher Re’s brokers and clients, she and her colleagues evaluate current and projected financial conditions of insurance companies, providing analysis on the financial and rating agency implications of reinsurance contracts to ensure the transaction aligns with the company’s strategic goals and needs. understanding and conveying information from the agencies to clients. 

Prior to joining Gallagher Re, Michelle was with AM Best as a Director in the Property Casualty Ratings Division.  She also held various financial analysis positions at AmTrust Financial, Milliman and Munich Re America.

Ms. Baurkot earned a BS from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Lehigh University.  Michelle also holds the Associate in Reinsurance and Associate in Risk Management designations.
