Doug Borell has more than 17 years of experience in professional services supporting startups to Fortune 50 companies. He leads teams delivering accounting advisory, outsourced accounting, financial transformation, and risk advisory services in multiple product lines of insurance.

Formerly, Doug was the interim chief financial officer and interim chief security officer of a New York City-based medical malpractice insurer.

Prior to that, Doug was with Grant Thornton, and under his own consulting firm, he served clients by performing interim controller, statutory financial reporting, accounting advisory, SEC reporting.

Doug graduated cum laude with a BSBA from Drexel University, concentrating in accounting, finance. He is a CPA Licensed in Pennsylvania and Certified Internal Auditor. He is an active member of the SIFM, the AICPA, the PICPA and Insurance Internal Audit Group.
