Michael Curtis

Michael Curtis has over 12 years of experience in litigation for public and private organizations. His current practice focuses on stymieing fraudulent claims that are brought by networks of conspiring plaintiff’s attorneys and medical professionals which are based on manufactured accidents, phantom and unnecessary medical treatment, and exploitative consumer litigation funding.

Michael began his legal career in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, where he worked in both the homicide investigations and appeals bureaus. After leaving the DA’s Office, Michael served as principal court attorney for the Honorable Ushir Pandit-Durant, Justice of the Supreme Court, Queens County, Criminal Term.

Since entering private practice, Michael has garnered significant experience working as appellate counsel on high-exposure, catastrophic casualty matters of all kinds, working at all stages of proceedings from pre-suit through discovery, trial, and appeal.

He has appeared and argued before numerous state and federal trial courts, and has briefed and argued appeals in the First, Second, and Third Departments of the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, and the Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Michael graduated from Villanova University with a BA in political science. He earned a JD from Columbia Law School.
