Francisco Romero has over 20 years of experience serving publicly held, closely held, and private entities in the insurance industry. He specializes in finance transformation and operational improvement, focusing on project management, process optimization, and technical accounting.

Francisco has led numerous modernization initiatives for insurance carriers, delivering services such as current state assessments, gap analyses, transformation roadmaps, and detailed process documentation. His expertise spans budgeting and forecasting, statutory reporting, collections and cash application, and expense management.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Francisco worked at AIG for 11 years, gaining deep experience in US GAAP and reinsurance accounting, statutory reporting, and multinational financial operations.

Francisco earned a BBA in accounting from Baruch College.
