Cassandra Anderson

Cassandra Anderson has over 18 years of experience with the New York Insurance Association (NYIA) which is a statewide trade association serving the property and casualty industry for more than 140 years. NYIA serves its membership through public policy advocacy and educational forums and works with its members to promote a healthy and sustainable insurance marketplace for all of New York. Cassandra is responsible for all strategic and operational functions of the association.

She has served the insurance industry through a variety of roles at NYIA, joining the association in 2008. She also holds the position of president for the New York Insurance Scholarship Foundation, which is affiliated with NYIA. She has worked in association management for nearly 25 years, previously serving as director of member services for the Empire State Society of Association Executives.

Cassandra earned a BA in public relations and policy studies from Syracuse University. She was awarded the certified association executive designation through the American Society of Association Executives.

She is on the board of directors of the New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud and has served in leadership roles with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and Syracuse University Alumni Club of the Capital District.
