Rudy Dimmling has over 40 years of experience in insurance and business transformation including P&C, reinsurance, healthcare, credit, life, runoff and brokerage. He currently leads the business transformation & performance improvement group within FTI Consulting’s Global Insurance Services practice. Rudy specializes in implementing near- and long-term strategies and transformation change initiatives related to performance improvement.

Formerly, Rudy served as chief strategy officer for Cardinal Innovations Healthcare, responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s transformation into a fully integrated healthcare insurer.

Rudy was also with Alvarez & Marsal where he assisted clients in improving financial and operational performance. Before consulting, he was chief administrative officer for a reinsurance subsidiary of a Fortune 100 global insurance company where he was responsible for the claims and actuarial functions.

Rudy earned a BS in accounting and an MBA in finance from Adelphi University. He is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor and a Change Management Practitioner.

Tony Lew is the co-Founder of the largest InsurTech community in North America. InsurTech NY has run events, conferences and accelerators since 2019 and graduated 400+ portfolio companies. Tony is also the managing partner of InsurTech Fund, a seed-stage VC fund focused on InsurTech and InsurTech adjacencies with a portfolio of 25 companies.

Prior to building InsurTech NY, Tony held product strategy and management leadership roles at Alibaba and Gartner, where he managed $1B IT product research business to double digit growth annually. Tony also advised and helped fortune 500 companies with growth and operational strategy as a management consultant at BCG.

Tony has a BS in information decision systems from Carnegie Mellon University. He was awarded an MS in information management science from George Washington University, and an MBA in strategy from NYU Stern School of Business.

Mattthew Cassidy has over 20 years of experience in internal audit specifically with the operations of insurance carriers, reinsurers and brokers. He currently leads IA innovation and technology risk solutions, including IT audit and control automation.

Matt has run large global internal audit programs and SOX implementations. He has worked with Fortune 500 companies on evaluating and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of their audit programs. He has also led the integration of offshore teams to ensure the highest quality, while minimizing the cost of delivery.

Matt earned a BS in business administration, decision and systems sciences from Saint Joseph’s University. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Dennis Sweeney has over 17 years of experience serving Insurance clients. Dennis has led both outsourced and co-sourced internal audit programs performing insurance SOX, MAR, and ICFR compliance assurance and operational audit reviews.

His main areas of focus include third-party risk management, internal auditing, process documentation, internal control assessments, reconciliation services, data & business analytics, financial reporting, process excellence, and external quality assessments.

Dennis earned a BASc in accounting from Rowan University.

William Meacock has more than 30 years of experience in the treaty reinsurance market. He currently leads the New York property treaty broking team overseeing several major client relationships within Marsh Re (previously Guy Carpenter).

Additionally, Will plays an integral role within the firm’s property center of excellence, helping to drive global knowledge and strategy development.

He joined Guy Carpenter in 1994 and relocated to New York from the firm’s London office in 2006, Prior to his move, he led the property risk team for the North America wholesale treaty business.

Will holds a degree in economics and sociology from the University of Durham (England). He is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Bobby Bianconi has over 15 years of experience in the insurance sector. His responsibilities include the underwriting team, overseeing its underwriting strategy and risk management capabilities as well as oversight of the cyber risk platform which provides innovative pre-incident services to primary insureds globally.

At Aspen, Bobby had various leadership roles in cyber underwriting, P&L management, underwriting performance, and team leadership. Prior to Aspen Insurance, Bobby was with Allied World leading the cyber portfolio for the Western United States. He also held underwriting positions at HCC Specialty and Valiant.

Bobby graduated from University at Albany with a BA in economics.

John Modin has over 30 years of experience in the financial services and insurance sectors. Since he joined Mt. Logan in 2021, John has strengthened the team across various disciplines including investor relations, finance, and portfolio management.

Formerly, John was a managing director in Citi’s global financial institutions group and head of the insurance solutions team. In his role at Citi, John structured and marketed capital markets and loan products for property and casualty (re)insurers, such as catastrophe bonds, sidecars, equity, debt, hybrid, convertibles, letters of credit, and contingent capital. In addition, John has served as the chief financial officer for two reinsurance companies. He began his career at KPMG in New York.

John earned a BS in accountancy from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. 

Marissa Olsen has 18 years of experience in managing cyber risks and insurance claims in the insurance sector.

Prior to Sompo, Marissa held various leadership roles, with responsibility for overseeing cyber, privacy, technology and media claims for national and international corporations in a wide variety of sectors including banking, hospitality, software development, entertainment, education, technology, retail, and health care. Earlier in her career, Marissa had leadership roles with Coalition, Sompo Internatilnal and AIG.

Marissa received a BA from The George Washington University and earned a JD from Brooklyn Law School. She is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars and is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Fred Karlinsky has over 30 years of experience representing the interests of insurers, reinsurers, and a wide variety of other insurance-related entities. He also serves on Greenberg Traurig’s executive committee.

Fred is a recognized authority on national insurance regulatory and compliance issues and has taken leadership positions in many insurance trade organizations. He has in-depth knowledge of insurance compliance matters and has been a primary strategist in virtually all types of Florida insurance-related legislative initiatives.

Fred has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Florida State University College of Law since 2008. Since 2014, Fred has served on the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission. He previously chaired the Florida Supreme Court Judicial Nominating Commission from 2022-25.

Fred earned a BS at the University of Miami and a JD from Florida State University Collete of Law. He is admitted to the Bars of Florida, England and Wales, US Supreme Court, US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, US Court of Federal Claims, US District Courts of Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, and the US Tax Court.

Bernard Opoku has over 16 years of experience in financial services, combining deep expertise in asset management, insurance-linked securities, and financial advisory. Recognized for his analytical rigor, leadership, and cross-border financial expertise, Bernard continues to play a key role in the evolution of structured finance and insurance-linked investment strategies.

Prior to his current role, Bernard was with KPMG Bermuda where he specialized in insurance linked securities audits and advised clients operating at the intersection of insurance and capital markets.

Earlier in his career, Bernard worked in London, providing financial audit and advisory to small and medium-sized enterprises across various industries. These experiences laid a strong foundation in financial reporting, risk management, and strategic business advisory.

Bernard holds a First Class BSc in mathematics, statistics, and financial economics from Queen Mary University of London. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda.
