Future of Finance

None of us knows for certain what the future will hold, but we all have a responsibility to be thinking about what’s likely to happen, and to prepare for it. In the finance function, that means working now to get the right people and technology in place to take advantage of the inevitable disruption ahead. It means tackling data challenges head on and taking a more aggressive approach to managing performance. That’s not likely to happen without a clear vision and strategy for finance, leveraging data as an asset in a digital world and running business finance analytics processes like forecasting on a real-time basis.

Now is the time to step back and make sure your roadmap to the future is clear and includes efforts to modernize data and analytics.

With that in mind, Kevin Hutchinson and Gina Vargas of Deloitte Consulting walk through predictions for finance in 2025, based on what finance leaders are doing, the technology available today and how organizations are tackling data and performance management challenges.
