SIFM Letter from President Sean Egan 2021

Dear Member:

Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year!  I hope you and your family enjoyed the holidays, and trust that, like me, you are looking forward to a year with more positive outcomes.

This year, the Board and President’s Advisory Council of the SIFM are planning to host three in-person conferences as well as monthly webinars.  Our goal is to provide you with about 20 – 25 CPE credits as well as cutting-edge presentations and networking opportunities. Of course, these plans are subject to change depending upon the safety and comfort level of our SIFM members.  Nevertheless, I wanted to share these initial plans with you.

We are working on the in-person conferences so that they will be not only impactful, but also safe for attendees.  Mark your calendar, watch for details, and regularly check SIFM.org for information.

June Conference. Tentatively scheduled for the last week of June.

  • Held at a full-service country club in Northern New Jersey within easy driving distance for most members.
  • Consists of four CPE presentations followed by an afternoon event such as golf, tennis, or swimming.
  • Provides you with ample networking opportunities with breakfast, lunch and afternoon events.

September Conference. Tentatively scheduled for the last week of September.

  • Held at location in NJ within easy driving distance for most members.
  • Consists of a one- or two-day conference structurally similar to the June Conference.
  • Provides you with ample networking opportunities with breakfast, lunch and afternoon events.

December Conference & Holiday Networking.  Tentatively scheduled for the second week of December.

  • Held at the NYC office of one of our sponsors.
  • Consists of 5 CPE presentations followed by a holiday networking reception.
