Caldwell NJ —John Yoon, president of the SIFM and chief accounting officer at QBE North America presented the SIFM 2023 Scholarship to Morgan Cooper, a student at Saint Joseph’s University (Philadelphia). The award was presented at SIFM’s Quarterly Conference.
The SIFM Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship presented to a qualified student attending a top School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science who intends to seek a career in the insurance industry.
Ms. Cooper is a finance, risk management and insurance double major with a 3.98 GPA graduating in May 2024.
Mr. Yoon noted that Morgan not only has a stellar academic record, but that she has devoted time for volunteering as well as industry work experience. Initially securing an internship with the Philadelphia Insurance Companies she is continuing to work with them during the academic year. Morgan has also been involved with on-campus volunteering with the Women’s Club Rugby team, vice president of the Spanish club as well as active volunteering on weekends.
